Door closers with backcheck

Backcheck is resistance near the end of the opening swing. It helps slow a door before the arm or leaf reaches its opening stop; it is not the same thing as closing speed or a hold-open function.

Backcheck acts while the door opens

It is used where a door may be opened forcefully or where a controlled opening motion helps protect the closer, door or adjacent wall. It does not lock the door open and it does not replace a physical door stop where one is required.

Only the models whose factory records explicitly list backcheck are shown here. The catalogue does not let us assign it to other models simply because their bodies look similar.

Check the opening arrangement as well

Before choosing backcheck, confirm the desired opening angle, the arm arrangement and what limits the leaf in the real opening. Those details determine whether the function can be set and used as intended.

For a project inquiry, include photographs of the hinge side and frame, plus the door width and weight. We can then check the whole assembly rather than a function label alone.

Models with factory-recorded backcheck

This page excludes models where the factory material does not explicitly name backcheck. Read the linked model page for the related adjustment record.

Confirm the complete door before ordering

These pages narrow the choice from published catalogue figures. Send the leaf width, weight, fitting arrangement and destination market with your inquiry so we can confirm the final configuration and availability.

This is an inquiry, not an order. Nothing is charged online.
